Audi continues to impress with their remodel of the TT coupe and roadster, and the introduction of the S5 and R8in 2008. After proving their commitment to performance in the Le Mans racing circuit the past number of years Audi is continuing to press their successes forward on the street.
The 2008 TT Coupe retains much of its characteristic shape and compact status while increasing its overall size. The baseline turbocharged 2.0 liter engine provides plenty of go at 2oo horsepower, but the 3.2 liter V-6, 250 horsepower engine when paired with the S tronic 6-speed transmission will propel this compact speedster in a zero to 60 in the mid 5 second range. With a sleeker aerodynamic design that is strategically designed to decrease the wind resistence ratio from the previous model the 2008 TT gives you the impression of high speed whether it is on the move or parked in your driveway.
The interior of the 2008 TT is available with various cloth and leather packages, yet still maintains distinctive refinements expected in an Audi. With metal trim surrounds on the gauges, gear selector and air ports and the flat bottomed steering wheel that is a signature piece for Audi in 2008, the feeling of motion inspired by the TT’s exterior extends deep into its well appointed cockpit.
With their 2008 line-up Audi continues to surge forward. In the next post the newly added S5 model will take its place among Audi’s elite.
